Clueride Play At Attraction

Use Case - Play at Attraction (Not Riding)

This describes the "Home" page once play has begun (the Team has been confirmed) and there-after, any time the team has arrived at a new attraction where a new clue is available. The featured action is to Solve a Clue, but there are other options being presented.

Actors

  • Guest Seekers
  • Armchair Seekers
  • Solo Seekers (In later versions, individual players are expected to be able to traverse courses on their own.)
  • Guide may also participate, but plays a different role.

Preconditions

  • This Game State is generally reached once the Guide has confirmed arrival at the attraction which means the group is no longer riding.
  • For the initial attraction (where the Team is meeting), this occurs when the Guide has Confirmed Team and the Outing has been opened.
  • For Armchair Seekers, the simulation of riding will determine when the destination has been reached.
  • Advanced feature: It may be possible to confirm arrival at attraction by a GPS reading which is sufficiently close to the destination's coordinates. This would allow Guest Seekers and Solo Seekers the ability to reach that state prior to the Team reaching that state.

Steps

  1. Before the clue is correctly solved, two choices are presented:
    1. Solve Clue - revealed upon arrival at the attraction
    2. Show Current Attraction - Attraction page including carousel of images at the attraction to allow players to confirm they have the right spot and also provide reference information for that Attraction.

Third Bubble is the Logo's question mark.

  1. After the clue is correctly solved, and before the Team Consensus has been reached, the [[[|History]]] is available to be browsed.
  2. After Team Consensus has been reached, the team is once again Riding.

Note

Viewing details about Attractions is available as soon as the choice has been made to visit the attraction. While riding to the next attraction, it is possible to view the attraction. The arrival at that attraction determines when the state changes to this particular Use Case.
